Vegan Fried Chicken

Hey Everyone!

Many of you have been asking for the recipe for my vegan fried chicken. I have finally perfected it!

I use some chicken I found at the Asian Market. Its made by a company named “Verisoy”. I guess you could use any chicken substitute you want.


1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon onion powder
2 teaspoon pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups unbleached all-purpose flour
5 tablespoons nutritional yeast (optional)
4 tablespoons yellow mustard
1/2 cup water
2 Tablespoons baking powder

Mock chicken (I use some chicken I found at the Asian Market. Its made by a company named “Verisoy”. I guess you could use any chicken substitute you want.)

4 cups of peanut oil (you can use whatever oil you prefer. Peanut oil doesn’t burn easily, so I prefer to use it. )

I seasoned the chicken  with Seasoning Salt and let it sit overnight. I don’t think it has to sit overnight. but i would recommend  seasoning the chicken first and letting it sit for a little.

1.Mix together all the dry ingredients except the baking powder.

2. Put the yellow mustard in another bowl with 2/3 cups of water.

3. Add 1/3 cup of the flour mixture to the yellow mustard mixture and stir .

4. Add the baking powder to the flour mixture.

5. Dip the Chicken chunks in the mustard mixture and coat evenly.

6. Dip the chicken int he flour mixture and coat evenly.

I prefer to use two bowls with tops. that looks me to put the chick in the bowl and          shake it up.

7. Place the chicken in the oil. I cook it on medium heat. I cook it for about 10 mins.

Oatmeal Patties

Hey Everyone!

Many of you have asked for my Oatmeal Patty recipe. So here it is!



1/4 of a  Large Onion- Diced

2 Eggs ( I use Egg Replacer)

1 Can of Cream of Mushroom Soup ( I use a Vegan Version I found at Whole Foods)

1 Pack of Lipton Onion Soup Mix (I found a Kosher Version at Kroger)

1/4 Cup of Braggs Liquid Aminos

1/2 Cup Almond Flour

1/2 Cup Coconut Oil

1/3 Cup Flaxseed Meal

3 Cups Rolled Oats


Start with the Egg Replacer. Add Onion. Add Soup and soup mix. Whisk together until all ingredients are even. Add remaining ingredients except oats. Mix everything together. Add Oats. Use hands to work oats into mixture. Once oats are worked into mixture, start making patties. I use a spoon to help me mold my patties. Usually one batch makes about 10-15 patties.

I add some olive oil to a skillet and cook the patties. I usually cook about 5 mins to each side. Then i put them aside and start the gravy!



1/4 of a Large Onion- Diced

Hand full of chopped up Mushrooms

1/2 Cup of Wheat Flour

1/2 Pack of Lipton Onion Soup Mix

1/4 Cup of Braggs Liquid Aminos

1 1/2 Cup of Water


Add some oil to a pan with onions. Cook for about 5 mins. Add chopped mushrooms and Onion Soup Mix.Cook for another 5 mins . Add Flour and water and Liquid Aminos. Turn Heat to Low. Whisk until gravy is at desired consistency.


In a baking pan, place patties. Add about a spoon full of Gravy on each patty. Cook at 350 degrees for 10 mins.


These patties can be used as a meat substitute or as a burger patty! I freeze them and use them later!
